HR Coordinator / HR Administrator

We are seeking a skilled HR generalist to support the business operations of a global investment and trading group that also imports and exports products to and from China.

The HR generalist plays an important role in facilitating daily HR functions and improving the performance of tasks. This role is able to contribute to achieving specific goals and results of the HR department and the group.


  • Respond to internal and external enquiries or requests and provide assistance.
  • Support the end-to-end recruitment process for all contractor and junior level roles by sourcing candidates, assisting in shortlisting, performing background checks, issuing employment contracts, etc.
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive generalist HR advice on employment relations to managers regarding performance issues, disciplinary action and conflicts, etc.
  • Conduct orientation process with new staff.
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects as and when required.
  • Check fortnightly payroll
  • Provide administration support



  • Relevant qualification in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum 1 year proven HR practical experience
  • Good knowledge of NZ Employment Regulations and Legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Chinese
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills
